Repiping

Half the housing stock we work in went up between 1947 and 1960, and a lot of it still has its original galvanized supply lines. Galvanized rusts from the inside: the pipe looks fine, the inside diameter closes up like a blocked artery, and one day two people cannot run water at the same time.

The tell is pressure that dropped so gradually nobody noticed until a guest mentioned it. Rusty water first thing in the morning is the other one. If you have both, the pipe is not going to improve.

We repipe in PEX or copper depending on the house and what you want to spend. A typical 1,400 to 1,800 square foot Long Island ranch runs somewhere in the $8,000 to $15,000 range done properly, which includes patching what we open, not just leaving you with holes.

We work room by room so you are never without water overnight, and we protect floors and furniture before anything comes apart. You are living in the house while we do this and we have not forgotten that.
