Most of the leaks we find on Long Island were running for weeks before anyone noticed. A slab leak under a Levittown-era ranch shows up as a warm patch on the floor or a water bill that jumped forty dollars for no reason. A supply line behind a wall shows up as a stain on the ceiling below it.

We find it before we open anything. Acoustic listening equipment on pressurized lines, a thermal camera for slab and radiant heat, and a pressure test that tells us whether we are chasing one leak or a system that is generally failing. Cutting drywall to look is a last resort, not a first step.

Then we fix it and tell you which it was. A single pinhole in a copper elbow is a repair. Four pinholes in the same run means the copper is thinning and you will be calling us again in eight months — and we would rather say so than take the same eighty dollars three times.
